Meet P.C. Thorat
Dear Friends and Prayer Partners,
I am grateful to God for giving me this privilege to share my testimony with you. My name is Prabhudas, or you can call me P.C. My name means servant of God. I was born into a Christian family. My father, Champatrao, was an evangelist who worked for the alliance mission. We were a family of nine children and it was I who was the eldest. We lived in a very small village where there were no schools, churches or other believers. We were the only Christian family in that village.
Even though I was born into a Christian family, I never really learned much about Jesus Christ. When I got to the age of when I would be attending high school, my father put me into the Christian hostel. It was there where I got to study the Bible day after day. We would have Bible studies, prayer time and would learn hymns. I learned alot of things about the love of God and it was there that I believed in Jesus Christ as my personal savior.
We were a very poor family and because of this it was necessary for me to find a job and start supporting my parents. I applied and got a job at the Boys Christian Home. I know that it was the Lord guiding my life to BCH. I learned so many things at BCH that would help me in the years to come. After working several years at BCH, I joined the Prakash Institute of India.
I have three wonderful sons whom all love the Lord and are serving Him. My eldest son Pradeep is a full time pastor leading a Baptist Church in Florida, USA. My second son is a teacher and has his masters degree in social work. My youngest son is an engineer working as a consultant. In 2009 the Lord truly blessed me and my family. He has given me the opportunity to lead Children's Fellowship of India as the General Director. I am asking that you please remember me and my wife in your prayers as we help guide these precious children to love and serve God.
Thanking you and God bless you,
-P.C. Thorat, General Director
