A Message from CFI Concerning COVID-19

Dear Friends of CFI,

We want to provide you with the latest updates regarding the COVID-19 virus and its impact on the ministry of Children’s Fellowship of India, Inc.  As everyone, everywhere should be doing…the CFI ministry has taken some key operational steps in line with government mandates, as well as our own discernment. 

We are officially canceling the 2020 CFI Annual Conference, originally planned for May 9th.  We are sad to miss out on this wonderful time of fellowship, but we must take precautions to guarantee the safety of our friends and family. We fully expect to resume the conference in 2021.

In accordance with the Indian national mandate, CFI has ended all school classes on campus for the remainder of the school year as of March 18th, 2020. 
Additionally, all children were mandated to return to their homes, if they have one, with at least a known parent.  We have been granted permission to care for 28 children that do not have a home to which they can return.  We thank God for so many blessings that He has given us. These blessings allow us to continue our ministry even in such times of uncertainty. His discernment led the board to proactively double our campus supplies upon the very first news of this outbreak.  

What does this mean for our supporters?
No travel to India is planned for the foreseeable future. We will be re-evaluating this decision throughout the year.  We are in constant contact with the CFI Indian board and campus leadership and will continue to update you as events merit.  This is a time for the extended CFI family to hold each other up.  

We realize that unprecedented circumstances may require re-prioritization of our finances.  Therefore, if you are unable to make your regular contributions to CFI until finances become feasible again, please do not feel obligated!  

All we ask is that you continue to pray for the ministry of CFI, as we promise that the children, staff, and board are continually praying for you. Thanks and God Bless You!
